Planning Scheme Amendment C243morn Approved by Minister for Planning

The Minister for Planning has approved planning scheme amendment C243morn, which was gazetted on 13 March 2026.

The amendment rezones the land from Special Use Zone (Port related industries) to Industrial 3 Zone to allows the development of the Mornington Peninsula Technology, Industry and Business Park.

At full build-out, the precinct is projected to deliver 1,100 local jobs, $405m in private investment, and close to $1bn in total economic value.

The precinct has been designed to give great businesses a place to flourish — somewhere technology, advanced manufacturing, and adjacent industries can grow and thrive on the Peninsula. Its purpose is to foster innovation, attract cutting-edge industries, and create genuine career pathways for the next generation of local talent.

The project has been made possible through the support of the Victorian Government, Mornington Peninsula Shire Council, the local community, and a dedicated advisory team.
